Essay

The thesis presents a methodological and methodical experience of social well-being research. The author defines social well-being in narrow and broad sense, examines its structural and functional characteristics, classifies its types. In the dissertation the considerable attention is focused on the presentation of traditional and modern methods of measuring social well-being, that are systematized in emotional-cognitional and deprivation approaches. The conceptual model to measure social well-being, while studying people's subjective space and time, is presented and the basic principles of this model are formulated.
