The object of the study are ergonyms of the Ternopil region of the late 20th - early 21st century. Purpose: to analyze ergonyms of the Ternopil region of the late 20th - early 21st century from the perspective of their functions, and lexical, stylistic and graphic means of implementing these functions. Practical value: the results of the research may be used for teaching linguistics and onomastics courses, as well as for writing dictionaries, handbooks and guides for name-givers on how to create effective ergonyms. Methods: descriptive, functional-stylistic, methods of statistical, component and comparative analysis.
