Object: prose by Russian writers of 1920-1930s related to modernist and social-realist paradigms (M. Bulgakov, Y.Olesha, S. Krzhizhanovsky, O.Mandelshtam, M.Tsvetayeva, F.Gladkov, A.Fadeyev, D.Furmanov, A.Serafimovich, M.Shaginyan, V.Katayev) as well as literary criticism and aesthetic studios of postsymbolism epoch. Methods: holistic and motivic analysis, descriptive and analytical, cultural and historical, comparative and typological method, intertextual and intermedia analysis, elements of structural and semiotic method. Results, novelty: for the first time a complex research of visuality poetics in Russian fictional text of 1920-1930s with account of specifics of the two leading postsymbolism paradigms was carried out. Use: teaching a course of History of Russian literature of the first third of 20th century, special courses and scientific seminars devoted to problems of visuality poetics and study of Russian prose of 1920-1930s; research of visuality in philocophy, cultural studies, sociology; compiling of textbooks and teaching materials on the History of Russian literature.
