The retrospectives of the establishment and development of the professional artistic and industrial education in Germany in the first half of the XX century in the field of historical and pedagogical science have been discovered.The theory and practice of German professional artistic and industrial education in the first part of the XX th century was generalized and systematized, which gives the possibility to substantiate scientifically the recommendations concerning the effective adaptation of this experience for an improvement of professional design-education in Ukraine.
