The object of study - the recreational nature efficiency improving process. Methods - abstract dialectical and logical methods, statistical analysis analytical methods, comparison and grouping, current, sociological, graphical method. The survey results practical significance is that they can be used in the regional target programs formation as well as in the planning of measures for recreational areas sustainable development and increase their attractiveness to tourists and travelers. Scientific novelty of the results is as follows: first defined "sustainable use of recreation and tourist areas," which is regarded as a generalization, integral, grounded dialectical environmental concepts unity , social and economic efficiency potential areas for recreational purposes. Improved scientific and methodological apparatus formation mechanism using recreation and tourist areas; teaching position forming recreational areas information system , methodical approaches to determining criteria rational use of recreational and tourist areas.
