Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the investigation of the pathophysiological role of renin-angiotensin system in the mechanisms of the renal dysfinction in hyperthyreosis and development of the correction of the functions of hyperthyreoid kidney. There were described the peculiarities of the morpho-functional changes of renal parenchima at the background of the experimental hyperthyreosis. There was demonstrated that the effectiveness of the nephroprotective action of renin-angiotensin system blockers is higher than the effectiveness of mododeiodinase I blocker propilthyouracil. Nephroprotective properties of losartan were realised mainly at the level of vascular-glomerular apparatus of the nephron and medullar segments of the ductal part whereas they are less manifested for nephrocytes of the curved proximal ducti. However, captopril prevents the inflammation and maintain the decrease of collagen deposition intensity in the renal bodies and the basal membranes of the glomerular filters and proximal part of the nephron.
