Bedriy M. Peculiarities of creation and operation of community courts on the Ukrainian lands (XIV–XVIII): historic-legal research.

The dissertation deals with the research of peculiarities of creation and operation of community courts on the Ukrainian lands in the XIV–XVIII, as well as the procedure of Ukrainian community judiciary. Attributes of community court are analyzed, on their basis its definition is given. Causes of transformation of Ancient Rus’ «verv» courts into community courts in the XIV are elucidated. Legal status of community courts on the Ukra¬ini¬an lands as a part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Polish Kingdom is highlighted. Organization and activity of community courts of Ukrainian provinces of Rich Pospolyta are analyzed. Competence and status of community courts of Cossack Hetman State are revealed. Procedure peculiarities of community judiciary pro¬viding are elucidated.
