The dissertation is devoted to research of theoretical-and-legal aspects of evolution of social function of the modern state, definition of its normative contents, and the legal ways of its maintenance. The author analyzes theoretical and methodological approaches in the study of contents and evolution of social function in the system of functions of modern state, proves the definition of the concept of state's social function, characterizes mechanisms of its maintenance, shows the basic tendencies of evolution of social function in the system of functions of modern state with the regard to constitutional guarantees of social state and the state of law.
