The dissertation paper presents research findings as concerns the interaction of the sowing time, row spacing, and varietal characteristics of Echinacea purpurea; it further defines quality indicators for the above-ground mass of the plant; feasibility study was carried out with a view of growing Echinacea purpurea in the soil and climatic conditions of the Southern part of the Western forest-steppe belt. Given the investigation results, as well as on the energy and economic analysis, it is recommended that agricultural producers in the region sow Echinacea purpurea Princess coneflower during spring sowing time at 45 cm row spacing.
