Ovchinnikova L. Local identity as a social and cultural phenomenon: the factors of formation and reproduction.

Object: local identity as a social and cultural phenomenon. Objective: conceptualization local identity as a cultural phenomenon and determining factors of its formation in the Ukrainian society. Methods: Comparative analysis and synthesis; grouping and typology, induction and deduction; massive questionnaires, individual interviews, analysis of documentary sources. Theoretical and practical results: Defined the definition of "local identity", defined the factors of its formation, made the empirical explication of communication for local and civic identities, revealed the existence of latent local identity. Novelty: conceptual principles of sociological analysis factors in the formation and reproduction of local identity. Degree of implementation: the main results of the research are applied in educational process in the sociological department of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv national university in the course "The socio-cultural examination of urban policies".
