Essay

The dissertation explores the problem of reaction of post-totalitarian societies to manifestations of the global crisis. An original conceptual approach to the topic, based on paradigm rethinking of crisis problems, is applied. Anti-crisis direction as autonomous sphere of research and the ability of the above mentioned countries to react to the global crisis due to the level of real crisis management of society are in the focus of attention. Anti-crisis strategies of Ukraine, characterized by pretentious declarations, made by Yushchenko's government and attempts of Yanukovych administration to apply effective mechanisms of solving problems are analyzed in comparison. The government of the Republic of Belarus successfully opposes global crisis. Its system of anti-crisis measures is based on maximum mobilization of internal reserves and a strict economy. The anti-crisis project of Russia is distinguished by the attempts to implement a geopolitical strategy. Certain aspects of "the middle rank" theory, a kind of a link between empirical perception of reality and its explanation from the point of view of synergy, allow highlighting specifics of transition societies' reaction to the global crisis. The key factor in this case is the state of society crisis management level.
