Essay

This dissertation is a complex philosophical and religious research of the problem "end of history" in the interpretation of Nikolai Berdyaev, analyzed in close connection with the crisis of Kartesian-Kantian philosophy which through subject-object dichotomy deepened the split in ontological integrity of the world, as well as person. Reconstructing Berdyaev eschatology and philosophy of history from the standpoint of religion taking into consideration mythogenic and religious consciousness of thinker as well as religious and philosophical features of Berdyaev discourse, built according to the rules and laws of organic combination of theological and philosophical areas, allowed the author to consider the ideological and philosophical universe of Berdyaev as a coherent worldview system. Given that Berdyaev eschatology was studied mainly in connection with Pneumatology and the theme of creativity, the author takes the emphasis on catastrophism. Berdyaev's interpretation of eschatological perspectives of history covered in the context of the concept of catastrophe, which holds the question of structure and genesis of religious csciousness as a major factor in the historical process, and to Berdyaev it is not a problem of psychology but the problem of religion's ontology, its metaphysics. Berdyaev's interpretation of content of Christian eschatology's religious phenomena is analyzed by researcher in historical and cultural context of two eras - modernism and postmodernism, as well as against the current devaluation of the eschatological theme.
