Zubov D. Prevention of crimes in open-type penitentiary institutions

The thesis deals with state and tendencies of delinquency in open-type penitentiary institutions. Reasons and conditions of committing crimes by the convicts are analyzed. The paper presents the characteristics of the personality of the convict who commits a crime in open-type penitentiary institutions. Levels of prevention of crimes in open-type penitentiary institutions are defined and analyzed. Scientifically grounded suggestions directed at the perfection of open-type penitentiary institutions activity as to prevention of committing crimes by those who are serving a sentence in the form of restrain of liberty are formulated.
