Lyakh T. The creative work Marko Cheremshyna's in the context of short story genre in the Western Ukraine at the end of XIXth - the beginning of XXth centuries: genre and stylistic tendencies.

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of genre and stylistic tendencies of Marko Cheremshyna's prose. This thesis deals with the first attempts to investigate genre and stylistic poetic parameters of the Marko Cheremshyna's creative work in the context of short story genre in Western Ukraine at the end of XIXth - the beginning of XXth centuries. The characteristic features of Ukrainian literary process at the end of XIXth - the beginning of XXth centuries, the critical reception of the short literary works have been analyzed. The origin of Marco Cheremshyna's artistic thinking has been elucidated originating from the mythological fundamental principles of the Hutsuls' existence, the writer's pantheistic vision of the world. Peculiarities and patterns of problematic's formation as well as formation of prose poetics of the writer, structural features, genre stylistic specificity and imagery of his prose have been studied. The mythоlogеmas, specificity of mythopoetic chronotop, myth have been analyzed. The artistic embodiment of the national idea, the reception philosophy of Nietsche and the questions about Dionysian's origin, sense of human life in the Cheremshyna's short stories have been investigated.
