Essay

Dissertation is devoted to studying the clinical manifestations and intracardiac hemodynamics in 126 patients with permanent atrial fibrillation (PAF) depending on QRS complex duration (QRSD) during therapy with beta-blockers, amiodarone and their combination. It was shown, that in patients with normal QRSD it is easier to decrease the ventricular rate and severity of PAF accoding to European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), than with prolonged QRSD. It was established the effectiveness of both beta-blockers and amiodarone monotherapy in patients with normal QRSD and beta-blockers - with prolonged QRSD. Combination of beta-blockers and amiodarone was more effective for decrease EHRA PAF and ventricular rate.
