Research object: the strategic crisis management of industrial enterprise, the goal of the work: theoretical basis, development of methodical approaches and practical recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the crisis strategy development for machine-building enterprise in unstable environment, methods of research and equipment: morphological analysis, grouping, structural and morphological analysis, factor analysis, synthesis, comparative analysis, the method of pairwise comparisons, cluster analysis, theoretical and practical results: the definition of "crisis strategy," which unlike the existing definitions based on the transformational approach that defines crisis strategy as a plan of action on companies’ reactions to comply with the enterprise environmental factors, which are characterized by high levels of dynamism, complexity and uncertainty; diagnostic procedure of the crisis state at machine-building enterprise, a feature of which is the combination of rapid diagnosis and multifactor models of determination the probability of bankruptcy, which more clearly define the characteristics of the enterprise’s crisis state (rack, lightweight crisis and deep crisis); methodical approach to determine the type of company stability (stable, unstable, crisis), which differs from existing ones of using such criteria as the state of the environment (simple-stable complex-stable, simple-unstable and complex-unstable) and crisis state of enterprises (stable operating, light crisis and deep crisis), and is based on a combination of the method of pairwise comparisons for determining the relative importance of these criteria and cluster analysis for identifying groups of enterprises by type of stability, methodical approach to selecting typical crisis strategy, the feature of which is the construction of a matrix-based compliance strategy chosen types of stability of the enterprises, based on the criteria of the enterprise’ crisis state and state of the environment, that takes into account the peculiarities of the functioning and development of enterprises in various states of crisis and an unstable environment, the sequence of stages of development and implementation of the crisis strategy in an unstable environment, the difference of which is based on diagnosis of the enterprise’s crisis state by the method of rapid diagnosis and multivariate models of determination the probability of bankruptcy and methodical approach to the definition of enterprise groups by type of stability using the characteristics of unstable external environment - dynamics, complexity and uncertainty, the subject and the degree of implementation: results introduced in practice of ZMP JSC "Avtramat" and JSC "Turboatom", the scope of use: the crisis strategy development in an unstable environment.
