Essay

It was found that the rats with genetically determined arterial hypertension have veraciously decreased membrane potential of mitochondria. Besides, in heart mitochondria of spontaneously hypertensive rats the reduction of coupling degree of the oxidation and phosphorylation processes with the rise of their efficiency was observed. For the first time was found that the threshold of mitochondric pore opening of rats was reduced in comparison to the control. The reduction of the Frank-Starling mechanism efficiency of spontaneously hypertensive rats was observed. The significant shortage of endogenous hydrogen sulfide in heart mitochondria and blood plasma of spontaneously hypertensive rats was found. For the first time was established the protection role of exogenous hydrogen sulfide (10-5 - 10-4 mol/L) and H2S biosynthesis substrate, L-cysteine (10-3 mol/L) in pore formation in rats hearts with spontaneous hypertension. The action of the hydrogen sulfide of spontaneously hypertensive animals reduced in 2 times the end-diastolic myocardial stiffness and significantly decreased the afterload due to the 22% reduction of arterial stiffness.
