Laskava J. The Zaporizhzhya Sich ataman Petro Kalnyshevskyi's literary and artistic interpretation: the specialities of the character production

The thesis is a complex investigation of the last Zaporizhzhya Sich ataman Petro Kalnyshevskyi's literary and artistic interpretation in Ukrainian literature. Features of transformation of the historical truth to the artistic one, the role and the place of creative thinking of the last Zaporizhzhya Sich ataman's activity and peculiarities of artistic means were analyzed. The wide range of literary forms (historical novel, historical documentary story, historical stories, essay, ballad, lyric epic poems) allows to expand range of the last Zaporizhzhya Sich ataman's description and certain lines of folklore style. One of the key aspects of Petro Kalnyshevskyi historical figure's reflection in literary artistic discourse is peculiarities of image creation.
