Thesis is devoted to the study of psychological peculiarities development of civil activity in seniors. The work presents an analysis of the main approaches to study the problem civil activity of the person. Defined the content and structure of civil activity seniors, identified factors (macrolevel, mesolevel, microlevel), level (high, medium, low), criteria (presence of civic consciousness, commitment to civic values, the ability to civil experience; manifestation of civic competitiveness) and types ("civic responsibility", "civic orientation", "civic passivity," "civic awareness", "civil balance", "civil interest") of the civil activity of the seniors. Defined psychological conditions development of civil activity of the seniors. A program for the development civic activity seniors and proved the effectiveness of its use in conditions secondary schools.
