The adaptation of organizational structures engineering enterprises to factors of internal and external environments is the research object. Theoretical principles and methodological provisions for building institutional mechanisms for adaptation engineering companies in the environment of uncertainty based on specific analytical toolsare the research subject. The development of methodological guidelines and practical recommendations for organizational adaptation of machine-building enterprises in the face of uncertainty is the research aim. The research methods are: abstraction, analogy, analysis and synthesis, statistical, financial analysis, functional analysis, institutional analysis, mathematical modeling, modeling organizational structure, comparative analysis, the entropy approach. The method of calculating the index and use organizational entropy (disorder) as the criterion of necessity and effectiveness of organizational change has been firstly proposed. The method of calculation and prediction uncertainty in the external environment engineering enterprise, the method of analyzing the internal production system engineering company based index, which is calculated as the relative change in the parameter entropy production function Cobb-Douglas, the selection process analytical tools for building enterprise organizational adaptation to an environment of uncertainty the definition of "organizational adaptation company" has been developed. The research results have been embedded in machine-building enterprises and academic process. The machine-building enterprises are the sphere of usage of author's proposals.
