Essay

The process of formation and evolution of the electoral space in western Ukraine were analyzed. Proved that the key institutional factors shaping electoral space in transitional political systems is the character limit. Found that the logic of democratization in Ukraine contributed to the formation of regional geostructures electoral space that differ own system integrity. It is shown that the choice of strategies forming party identities, party elites can not take into account the historical, economic, social, geopolitical and cultural characteristics of regions.
