The dissertation is devoted to resolving the important scientific task: improving the efficacy of anesthesia in abdominal surgery on the basis of indicators BIS monitoring. There was found that traditional anesthesia accompanied by prolonged episodes of excessively deep level of consciousness, which can be reduced using BIS monitoring. Inadequate level of consciousness does not correlate with hemodynamic parameters. Sevoflurane under BIS monitoring exceeds propofol and thiopental sodium on manageability and reduce the number of episodes of inadequate anesthesia, the propofol anesthesia leads to rapid recovery of consciousness after the operation. Propofol and thiopental sodium have the same effect on the cognitive functions in the condition of adequate anesthesia. Episodes of inadequate anesthesia lead to POCD in the early postoperative period. proposed method of propofol anesthesia, which allows a more adequate anesthesia and reduce the consumption of anesthetics in the absence of BIS monitoring.
