Kosareva M. Dynamic processes in the system of conjunctions in the Ukrainian literary language

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of dynamic processes in the system of conjunctions of the Ukrainian language. Linguistic standard in the prescriptive and descriptive aspects is characterized, the reasons of disagreements between the codified norm and speech patterns are found out. Extralinguistic and intralingual determinants of conjunction system dynamics are defined, videlicet: the need to differentiate semantic-syntactic relations between predicative parts in a complex sentence and between homogeneous parts in a simple complicated sentence with the help of conjunctions more precisely, show styling of these relations more exactly and more evocatively; functional styles development providing the improvement of the stylistic differentiation of conjunctions as terms of relative relations expression; the desire to dissociate from foreign influences in order to give the Ukrainian system of conjunctions national identity; attempts to transpose conversational conjunctions to the syntax book styles for the purpose of the national traditions establishment; the intention of the Ukrainian professional society to renovate and expand commonly-accepted set of connecting means ignoring the stylistic limitations, traditions of the Ukrainian syntactic use of conjunctions, the practicability of new units and others.
