Sklyar N. German Autobiographical prose in the XX - XXI Centuries: Genre Tradition and Art Peculiarity

The study is devoted to the peculiarities of autobiography and displays poetical peculiarity of German autobiography. In the dissertation the autobiography is presented in the comparative aspect from the point of view of tradition and innovation. On the basis of the previous achievements in the sphere of autobiography researchers work out the model of the traditional autobiography with evidences of its main signs, kinds, realization's forms, purpose. In modern study of literature contexts the model of the postmodern autobiography is built. Its distinctive features are: combination of fact and fiction, autofiction, metatext as a possibility for invention realization, the use of epic masks etc. Modern German autobiography is in the regular transformation, changing its parameters, subduing to itself other genres, getting new peculiarities. It has got across the border of an usual genre and has evolved to the metagenre's level. The analysis of the German autobiographic works allowed to affirm, that their poetical peculiarity is reached owing to the realization of "the fourth time" as a literature method of the line of events reproduction and the method of montage on the composition level. On the plot level the peculiarity components are: introduction of prevailing characters and reference, building of author identity in the light of the war, the opposition of directed concepts and metaphorisation as image building and style phenomenon.
