Matveyeva M. Economic-ecological principles of agricultural enterprises' sustainable development.

Research object is economic relations and development of agricultural enterprises (in Lviv region). The aim of the research is substantiation of theoretical and methodological approaches as well as proposal of recommendations concerning economic and ecological principles of agricultural enterprises' sustainable development on the example of Lviv region. Research methods were: system, structural and comparative analyses, the formal-logical analysis, economic and statistical methods, economic-mathematical modeling, methods of forecasting. The scientific novelty of study results. The priority of the main factors contributing to the sustainable development of agricultural enterprises was determined for the first time. The following aspects were improved in the Thesis: theoretical principles of agricultural enterprises' sustainable development as well as the concept of sustainable development due to the introduction of author's definition for agricultural enterprises sustainable development; the concept of the economic and environmental resource potential of the enterprise; the system of indicators for agricultural enterprises' economic and ecological environment. The following aspects were further improved and developed: estimation of interdependence and correlation of agricultural enterprises' development and the state of the natural environment and ecological situation in the region on sustainable development of agricultural enterprises; methodological approaches to forecasting of the basic agricultural enterprises' commodities production; approaches to the construction of economic-mathematical models for production structure optimization as well as branch specialization of agricultural enterprises according to the principles of sustainable development. Theoretical and practical results: theoretical aspects and practical recommendations of the economic and ecological principles of agricultural enterprises' sustainable development in the market conditions were developed and proposed. The level of integration: the research results are used by the Department of agro-industrial development in Lviv regional state administration in order to develop the long-term plan of the progress of the region' agriculture. Some research results are used to work out plans of agricultural production by the Department of agro industrial development in Kamenka-Bus'ka regional state administration of the Lviv region, as well as in the educational process within the courses "Fundamentals of ecological entrepreneurship", "Production forecasting" in Lviv national University of veterinary medicine and biotechnology named after S.Gzhytskyj. Area of application: agriculture, environmental economics.
