Andrusiv U. Civil protection of intellectual property rights to programs (telecasts) of broadcasting organizations in Ukraine.

The dissertation deals with the comprehensive research of problems of civil protection of neighboring rights of broadcasting organizations to programs (telecasts) in Ukraine. The aspects of legal regulation of relations concerning the rights of broadcasting organizations at the international and national levels are considered. The status of the subjects of neighboring rights of broadcasting organizations is subjected to theoretical analysis. A great attention is paid to various ways of dissemination of the content. The legal preconditions for formation of public broadcasting in Ukraine are outlined. The legal characteristic of the objects of protection of the rights of broadcasting organizations is given. The peculiarity of cable providers' activity is elucidated. The essence of concepts of exclusive non-property and property rights of broadcasting organizations is revealed, their scope and content are defined. Scientific conclusions are grounded; suggestions for improving legal protection of the examined relations are made in the present dissertation.
