Research of consumer behaviour in modern household was conducted in the thesis. Main approaches to analysis of consumption and consumer behaviour were defined. Expedience of usage activity-behavioral, socio-cultural and institutional approaches in analysis of consumer behaviours of a household was grounded. The term "consumer behaviour" in connection with term "customer behaviour" was reviewed; two contexts of "consumerism" concept were emphasised upon. Peculiarities of consumer behaviour in globalised society were characterised.
