Kapanayko I. Linguistic concept of Ivan Franko (based on Polish periodicals)

Object: linguistic publications of I. Franko in Polish periodicals. Objective: characterizing the essence of I. Franko’s linguistic statements and providing the comparative analysis of Polish and Ukrainian publications of I. Franko on the same topic. Methods: general scientific analytical and descriptive, comparative analysis, the method of textual attribution, the method of component analysis. Scientific novelty: the Polish newspapers, where I. Franko’s articles were published, have been retrieved; the bibliography of Polish articles and notes of the writer on language problems has been compiled. The practical value: the use of courses in Ukrainian literary language, general linguistics, research works in the relevant fields of science.
