The Thesis is dedicated to study of structural-functional reconstruction of arterial vessels, indices of extracranial blood flow, esteblishment of MMP-9, CRP and components of plasma lipid spectrum at patients with essential hypertension (EH) associated with occlusional and stenotic defeats of brachiocephalic arteries (OSD BCA).The research has shown that patients with atherosclerosis of carotids are characterized by certainly increased levels of CRP, MMP-9 and proatherogenic plasma components, more expressed pathological vascular remodeling, decreased indices of extracranial blood flow in comparison with patients with 2nd stade of EH. It has been proved that 12 weeks' therapy by candesartan promotes certain reduction of plasma levels of CRP, MMP-9 and deminishing of carotid intima-medium segment thickness except adequate hypotensive effect. Also such treatment promotes improvement of indices of extracranial blood flow, arterial elasticity and endothelial function at patients with EH with OSD BCA mostly. Supplementary atorvastatin prescription is accompained by certain improvement of noted indices and normalization of plasma lipids level at patients with OSD BCA mostly.
