Object - operated patient with deep vein thrombosis in the system of inferior vena cava (ICV), aim - improving the results of surgical treatment of patients with deep vein thrombosis of the inferior vena cava; methods - clinical, laboratory, hardware - instrumental, statistical, novelty - study of clinical efficacy of the method of direct surgical prevention of pulmonary embolism with incomplete mechanical plication of the IVC after thrombectomy in system of IVC; results - incomplete mechanical plication of the IVC provides for prevention of pulmonary embolism in the case of floating thrombus IVC; introduced in the management and educational process; industry – surgery.
