Object -the basic school teaching process; aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested system of learning tasks on ensuring Humanities knowledge durability in pupils during the basic school teaching process; methods -theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to provide theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested system of learning tasks that presents an entity of the goal, objectives, means of motivation to firm Humanities knowledge, the complex of learning tasks of growing difficulty aimed at memorizing, keeping in memory and reproduction of the material learned using the dominant memory types allowing the teacher for the realization of didactic objectives at a lesson; the notion "pupils' knowledge durability" is specified as a realization and memorizing of teaching material by learners on the basis of their psychic processes activating due to which structuring and systematizing of teaching information, its reproduction and use in the learning activity is carried out; the term "learning task" is defined as varying in content and scope types of individual learning activity of growing difficulty level directed at memorizing, keeping in memory and reproduction of the material learned using the dominant memory types in response to the teacher's orders at the lesson or during homework; the criteria for defining the indices of the levels of pupils' readiness to durable Humanities knowledge assimilation have been analysed; results - the system of learning tasks has been worked out, theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested, the system of learning tasks is recommended for the implementation in the teaching process of general secondary schools with the aim to ensure pupils' Humanities knowledge durability, the teaching manual "Pedagogical ensuring knowledge durability (in teaching English)" has been prepared ; field - pedagogy.
