The Ph. D. Thesis is devoted to investigation of the electrodynamic structure consisting of a cylindrical dielectric resonator (DR) located orthogonally relative to a microstrip line, and to microwave antennas using such an excitation method. The novel structure, consisting of a DR located in a microstrip line so that its symmetry axis lies in the ground plane and is orthogonal to the direction of the travelling wave, is proposed. The technique for calculating coupling coefficient of a cylindrical DR with open space and microstrip line is gained. The mathematical model for a system of coupled DRs, located in edge microstrip line, is gained.
