Object - the delivery of international goods by rail transport in Ukraine. The purpose is to develop methods and models of international rail freight using technological and competitive advantages of railway transport of Ukraine. Methods - the study used a systematic approach, systematic analysis, factor analysis, linear programming, probability theory, queuing theory. The thesis is devoted to the development and application of methods and mathematical models to the international rail freight traffic considering technological and competitive advantages of rail transport in Ukraine. In the paper transport rail cargo flows as a function of the systemic impact of technological, organizational, economic and other factors have been analyzed and formalized for the first time. The traffic forecast methods focused on the development of strategic railway directions, sea ports and transport infrastructure, with the internal and external factors of transport systems effects taken into account, have been improved as well. The theory of the trains schedule including trains priority admission has been developed and the concept of "allocated capacity" has been suggested in the thesis. The methods of transportation process performance calculation and analysis to cargo delivering and wagons delays at border-crossing railway stations of Ukraine have been improved. The proposed modeling approach allows international traffic volumes into account the impact of external and internal technological, organizational, tariffs and other factors on the traffic flow. Application areas - the system of state regulation and rail transportation activities.
