Tsikavyi S. Genre Duma in the Ukrainian literature: the formation, development stages, art specifics

The subject of inquiry is a group of texts, defined as literature dumas. The aim is to determine peculiarities of forming and development of duma's genre signs in Ukrainian literature. The research methods are typological, comparative, and systematic, the receptive analysis. The results and novelty: for the first time the influence of duma genre on the development of Ukrainian literature was systematized, main branches of that literature genre's evolution, developed on the basis of folklore one, were defined. The field of application: the courses of the History of the Ukrainian Literary, the Special courses on the problematic of Ukrainian literature's genres of XIX-XX centuries.
