The dissertation is devoted to minimization of harmful influence of waste dumps on natural environment by improving the prevention of spontaneous ignition of waste dumps, graving of technical crops on the territories, contaminated with combinations of heavy and rare metals, and extraction of toxic pollutants by floatation. The fulfilled experimental and theoretical researches permitted us to give ecological assessment of a degree of contamination with travelling forms of heavy and rare metals of the territories fitted closely to dumps. The results of investigation confirm the possibility to decrease negative influence of mobile forms of heavy and rare metals thanks to the cultivation of technical crops, which are used for the production of biological fuel, on rehabilitated lands of mining regions. Accumulation of rare metals decrease their content in soils what, in its turn; brings to reduction a migration of toxic substances in soils profile. It is found out that isolation of pyrite and sulphides of heavy and rare metals by use of floatation reduces a degree of rocks toxicity and affords to utilize it in the production of building materials, fertilizer or an inert substratum at the rehabilitation of territories which have been ruined by mining for planting different kinds of agricultural crops. It is proposed to utilize an isolated sulphide concentrate by means of floatation for receiving heavy and rare metals, bismuth in particular.
