The dissertation investigates the creative work of Vasyl Stus in terms of the variable nature of the text of his works, which are covered in the Ukrainian literary context of the 1960's - 1970's and in the German-speaking poetic environment. For the first time the phenomenon of variability has been examined from the perspective of literary history. A number of questions focused on multivariate text as an artistic phenomenon, peculiar to one author, have been raised while investigating the process of creating a characteristic manner of Vasyl Stus.
