Sachko M. Accentual system of adjectives in poetic works of Lesya Ukrainka (as compared with that time and present norm)

The object: adjectives which are used in the poetic works of Lesya Ukrainka. The objective: to characterize the accentual system of adjectives in the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka, defining their patterns, trends and accentual features in comparison with word-stressing in Ukrainian classical poetry, poetry of the twentieth century, lexicographical works of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, accentual researches. Methods: descriptive , comparative and historical, comparable as well as elements of quantitative analysis. Scientific novelty: accentual system of adjectives in the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka has been first analyzed and compared with that time and contemporary literary accentuation. The practical value: the results can be used by lexicographers for completing and reissuing of different types of dictionaries, writing the vocabulary of accents of Ukrainian literary language, concluding the dictionary of the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka.
