Hron V. Historical Component of the Ukrainian Studies: tendencies of development in the interwar period.

In the thesis the role and the place of the historical component of the Ukrainian Studies is firstly determined. The author has realized the complex analysis of social, political, cultural and scientific factors of functioning of the development of the whole system of knowledge about Ukraine and Ukrainian people in the interwar period. Leaning on the research of the archive and historiography sources the character of the evolution of the historical component of the Ukrainian studies is defined. In 20 - 30 of XX century this evolution had been going on the background of the formation of the Ukrainian information space and the soviet structure of the science-research establishments. The author covers the particular role of the scientific, research, publishing and pedagogical work of M. Hrushevskyi in the integrative process of the Ukrainian scientific association, determines the meaning of his paradigm for the generation of the civilized world out looking and cultural comprehension of the Ukrainian historical way and the formation of the Ukrainian Studies as the system of the integrated knowledge. The contribution of the Ukrainian historical centres of the continental Ukraine and emigration in the development of the national-state direction of the Ukrainian historiography, saving and enrichment of the traditions of the Ukrainian historical science is revealed. The author shows the dramatic results of the prohibition of the Ukrainian Studies in Soviet Ukraine and exclusion of the Ukrainian history from the soviet scientific-educational space.
