Kovtunenko І. Scientific rationalization of safety criteria for the health of the population under effect of ambient air pollen allergens

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of biological ambient air pollution caused with the pollen of allergenic plants which the past few years has become one of the leading environmental pollutants. Atmospheric aerosols of biological origin are the main object of aerobiological studies and are among the interests of present-day ambient air hygiene. The issues of the scientific rationalization of safety criteria of the effect of pollen allergens for the health of the population are considered in the performed study. The regularities of the formation of pollen component of ambient air bioaerosols are demonstrated in the dissertation. The models of palinologic calenders for dominant aeroallergens have been developed. A dose inhalation load of seasonal pollen pollution of ambient air for the children's population was calculated on the basis of indices of pollen pollution for each dominating allergens, it makes up 0.0080 mg/kg for adults and 0.0374 mg/kg for children. Obtained doses can be considered as safety criteria and become a basis for the territorial hygienic standard for the city of Kiev. In the performed dissertation a scientific rationalization of the system for the prophylaxis of allergic morbidity of the population, stipulated by the aero allergenic ambient air pollution, is represented.
