Kytsak L. The detective genre in modern Ukrainian literature.

For the first time we conducted the complete investigation of detective genre in modern Ukrainian literature. The detectives of V. Kashin, R. Sambuk, V. and N. Lapikurs, E.Kononenko, I. Rozdobud'ko, A. Serov, A. Kokotyuha, L. Kononovich, A. Vinokurova, P.Zagrebelny, N. and A. Shevchenko, G. and P. Vladymyrsky, O.Volkova, N. Tysovskyy, S.Pantyuk, V. Lys, V. Shklyar were selected for the analysis. The works of these authors interpreted in terms of their image system, plot construction, specific conflicts, gender and receptive targeting. The modern Ukrainian detective put in the context of popular culture, outlined and generalized the functions of detective genre in the public consciousness.The main trends of detective literature in modern literature are defined.
