Essay

Ecologic monitoring subsystems are developed for mass simultaneous access of specialists to large volumes of Earth remote sensing data, their 3D interactive visualization and analysis. The complex was created using the developed subsystems. The complex implements the complete technological cycle of ecologic monitoring using Earth remote sensing data. The created complex allows to significantly broaden the audience capable to use Earth remote sensing data due to simplification of accessing to the data, their more intuitive visualization, automation of many labor-intensive operations as well as delivering new, previously unavailable opportunities for their analysis. Using the developed ecologic monitoring subsystems, it was possible for the first time to establish the spatiotemporal characteristics of air pollution by sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3) and aerosol over the regions of Ukraine and Europe. The complex is freely available at http://wikience.donntu.edu.ua
