The оbject of research is protestantism as complex and multifaceted social and cultural phenomenon. Methodological principles are substantiated, trends and prospects of research protestantism in modern culturological discourse are defined. The role, place and function of protestantism in cultural process of independent Ukraine are analyzed. Features of cultural identity of modern Ukrainian protestantism are considered, the attitude of protestants to Ukrainian national culture, language, traditions is analyzed.
