Plaksii Y. Activation of students' cognitive activity in the process of teaching computer science and engineering in higher engineering schools.

Research is devoted to the problem of enhancement of students' cognitive activity in studying computer science and computer engineering by means of Delphi programming language at technical universities, taking into account peculiarities of studying at technical universities in the modern world. The thesis proposes methodical system to enhance the cognitive activity of students of higher technical education both in the learning process and during professional practice. We consider the forms and methods of enhancement of students' cognitive activity in the learning process, as well as the role and importance of ICT and self-study in teaching computer science and computer engineering. The suggested methodical system involves the use of Delphi programming language at all stages of the course of computer science and computer engineering, and application of the proposed methodology in intersubject links and professional practice.
