Zhukova A. Dream in contemporary culture: representation and functional potential.

The object of the scientific research is the dream in the problem field of culture; its purpose is to identify the representative abilities and functional potential of dreams in modern culture on the basis of philosophical and anthropological analysis; the used methods are phenomenological, hermeneutic, dialectical, historical and structural-functional ones, besides the methods of anthropological interpretation and reduction were used; The innovation consists in the conceptualizing of dreams as a specific cultural form of the human capacity for transcendence on the base of the author's self-made methodological program. The results of the research can be used as a factual and methodological framework to study a wide range of cultural and anthropological problems, as well as courses on Philosophy of Culture and Philosophical Anthropology, in educating youth. The branch of knowledge is Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of Culture.
