Gubin O. Nematode diseases in flowering-ornamental plants in greenhouses of botanical gardens of Ukraine

The species composition of nematode complex in flowering-ornamental plants in greenhouses of six botanical gardens of Ukraine was studied. The taxonomic and ecotrophic analyses of the discovered complexes of species were conducted. The relationship between the composition of species, number of nematodes, and state of host plants was found. The main symptoms of nematode diseases and common damage thresholds were described. The dynamics of nematodes populations under the root-knot nematode infestation in greenhouses was investigated, and the relationship between changing of external symptoms of disease and that of the nematodes number was shown. The efficiency of using the biological preparations of Aktofit, Nematofagin and Radifarm for the control of nematodes diseases in botanical gardens was discovered. The scheme of nematological monitoring of flowering-ornamental plants in greenhouses of botanical gardens was developed. The list of nematode diseases in plants with an indication of major symptoms and nematode-pathogens was proven.
