Ilikchiyeva K. Counteracting violence against women (criminal and criminological aspects).

The thesis is a completed scientific work, the first comprehensive researches of the causes and conditions of the existence of violence against women the types and forms of violence, and criminal legal and criminological methods of counteraction to violent criminal behavior against women. The work focuses on criminalized types of violence, the analysis of the results of sociological research and identified determinants of different forms of violence against women. There are offered concepts of violence against relatives and abuse material and living provision; there are improved concepts of physical, mental, sexual violence and violent satisfaction of sexual desire by unnatural means, as well as the approach to a definition of economic violence. Special attention is paid to the analysis of normative legal acts that establish criminal responsibility for acts of violence against women. There are also formulated scientific conclusions and concrete proposals to improve criminological measures to counter violence against women and amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
