Tyhonyuk S. Features of political conflicts in the political system

Content of public policy reform related to Ukrainian science is presented in this dissertation within the European integration context. History of Ukrainian scientific system formation was analyzed, present condition of this system was explored and its positioning in the European intellectual area was examined. This thesis proves that the progressive development of science creates a foundation for economic growth and competitiveness in the interaction with education and industry. The main features of European policy in science and technology were discovered and recommendations were made to introduce some elements of European national research systems in Ukraine. Main directions for Ukrainian science reform were determined according to conducted analysis, an integrated model of S&T policy was developed and measures for scientific potential improvement were proposed to protect national interests of Ukraine.
