The thesis is a comprehensive study of the problem of associative relations between Ukraine and the EU in the context of the formation and development of political institutions of Ukraine. It is affirmed that the formation of associative relations should be considered not only granting Ukraine the status («Associated State»), but also in terms of strengthening of public authorities that are designed to implement the state policy in different sectors of society.
