Kirichek I. Syntagmatic of relative adjectives in the Ukrainian literary language.

The object is the syntactic constructions with relative adjectives as representative of a valency and a valence partner; the aim is complex polyaspect analysis of syntagmatic potential of relative adjectives in the literary Ukrainian language, ascertainment of typology semantic and syntactic relations among components of word combinations with relative adjective as a determining and determined components, disclosing of semantic filling of concrete representatives of submodals Adj (relat) + Sub (x), Adj (relat) + Prep + Sub (x), Adj (relat) + Adv, Sub + Adj (relat); methods - synchronic and descriptive, modeling, transformative, context, distributive analysis and immediate constituents; novelty - it is the first time in Ukrainian linguistic complex investigation of syntagmatic of relative adjectives; system of semantic and syntactic meanings was identified on the material of adjective-substantive, adjective-adverbial, substantive-adjective combinations; structural models and submodels of concrete representatives of syntactic structures with relative adjectives as grammatical main and dependent element; lexical and semantic composition of components filling constitutive position of word combinations with relative adjective as representative of a valency and a valence partner was characterized; results - contribute to solve a problem connecting with inner semantic differentiation of relative adjective, specification of status of possessive, order and functional-qualitative adjectives, open perspective for deeply investigations of semantic and syntactic mechanism of syntagmatic and valency; results also can be used for making theoretical morphology and syntax courses, realization of scientific seminars, in lexicographical practice of composition of dictionary of relative adjectives combinatory power; field - linguistics, structural and semantic syntax.
