Essay

Results of theoretical investigations of the properties of two physical systems in terahertz frequency range are presented in the thesis. The first system is a system with plasmons of drifting electron gas in bulk materials, quantum wells or graphene and polar optical phonons. The second is a hybrid system with plasmons of drifting electron gas in quantum well and a remote nanoparticle. The obtained results can be used for experimental investigations of nanostructures, particularly for study the generation, amplification, detection, and polarization of a terahertz radiation.
